With spooky season fast approaching, this crochet pumpkin bag is a cute addition to your festive makes. It’s quick and easy to customise, making it a perfect crochet pumpkin pattern. You can even add eyes to make it a jack-o-lantern bag (hmmm…. I may need to get on that!)
If spooky patterns are what you’re after, you can try these super cute crochet pumpkin earrings or this sweet crochet ghost. I also have ad-free patterns in my Etsy shop.

You can choose where on this round you add the “tendrils.” To make them, chain as many stitches as you want (it depends on how long you want them.) I chained 6 and 8 for mine. Then, in each chain work [sc, hdc, dc, sc]. After working all 4 of these stitches into the last chain, hdc into the next stitch on the bag.
Ch 100 (or as long/short as you want).
Turn and place a hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook.
Hdc in each stitch across.
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Sew the strap onto each side of the bag, ensuring that the seam is at the back of the bag.
I hope you loved this cute and quick project and I can’t wait to see your crochet pumpkin bags!
